And after suffering the biggest of L’s in the rap game this past weekend, YBN Almighty Jay gets back on his grind and releases “Let Me Breathe” which addresses some of the more controversial moments in his young rap career. Y’all don’t want no smoke with his Rap-A-Lot family.

Check out the rest of today’s drops including work from G Herbo, 42 Dugg featuring Yo Gotti, and more.

Even after all these years it’s still hard to watch Ricky run for his life only to get cut down by a shotty in Boyz n the Hood and now Blac Youngsta is making us relieve that sequence.

For his visual to “Breathe,” Blac starts off the video by recreating the famous scene from John Singleton’s classic before doctors try to save his man.

Keeping the scene in the south, Trina comes back with a new clip in the Chief Pound assisted “She Bad” where the diamond princess shows she’s still living it up in Miami.

Check out the rest of today’s drops and some joints you might’ve missed over the weekend including work from YFN Lucci featuring Rich Homie Quan and Garren, Montana of 300 and more.

Social Media Obsessed Teen Says ‘I Can’t Breathe Without WiFi’

Seventeen-year-old Khloe admits that Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are her best friends.

“I’m completely obsessed with social media,” she says, explaining that she sleeps with her phone in her hand and starts her day at 6 am by immediately checking Facebook. “When it’s not with me, I don’t feel complete and I feel very scared,” she says about her phone. “I can’t do anything without it.”

Khloe recognizes that her social media addiction has gotten out of control, and fears that she’s missing out on personal relationships. “I do get panic attacks when I leave my house and there’s no WiFi,” she says. “It’s very hard to have conversations in real life. It’s so much easier to just text message or Facebook.”

In the video above, she explains how her self-esteem is tied to social media. “The amount of attention I get on Facebook feels like a rush to me,” says Khloe. “On Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, I get 500 to 1,000 likes on each picture … It makes me feel really good about myself!” She estimates that she knows only about 50 of those people, but says, “They really feed my self-esteem.”

Turning to Dr. Phil for counsel, she says, “I’m always on my phone 24/7. I need help. I want a normal life.” Find out what he thinks the underlying issue is for Khloe, and how he proposes she break her addiction on Friday’s episode of Dr. Phil, “Social Media Obsessed Teens: I Can’t Breathe Without WiFi.”

Rick Ross “Family Ties,” Pharrell Williams “Freedom,” Juicy J “Breathe” & More | Daily Visuals 7.22.15

In the midst of his artist, Meek Mill firing Twitter shots at his boy, Drake, Rick Ross drops visuals for the aptly titled “Family Ties” off last years Hood Billionaire album. Playing the Bawse role as only he can, the robust rapper does what he does best: rub his jewel encrusted hands together while rapping about the lavish life that we thought 50 Cent was living this whole time. Apparently his whole life has been a Rent-A-Center commercial.

Speaking of living, Pharrell Williams releases another upbeat song with a message accompanied by visuals that span the world and takes a look at different cultures and ways of life in “Freedom.” Missing from this video was a cameo from his old partner, Chad Hugo. How you travel the world and not drop in on your old drum machine chum?

Check out the rest of today’s visuals which include work from Juicy J, Trina, and more.

The 10 Best Spring 2016 Menswear Looks from London Breathe New Life into Old Standbys

london menswear

London has always had a split personality when it comes to style. It’s a city, after all, that sired both Savile Row suiting and the transgressive punk and postpunk fashions of Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren. British designers excel not only at tradition but also at tweaking and reinterpreting the existing codes of men’s clothing. But the best looks for spring 2016 bridged the distance between these two extremes, with intelligent, often outlandish, takes on classic items of the male wardrobe.

Whether through Lou Dalton’s Prince of Wales–check overcoat with exaggerated pockets, a Casely-Hayford iridescent-green one in nylon that recalled a bomber jacket, or J.W.Anderson’s long, tan eighties-minimalist trench belted at the waist and neck, London designers offered us the chance to twist convention slightly askew. Other opportunities for mischief included Christopher Shannon’s boxy, oversize coach’s jacket in see-through black mesh; a perfect striped summer tee, reimagined with long, loose short sleeves and a pocket lined in contrasting black, by Margaret Howell; and a streamlined fishtail parka, worn over a plaid jacket and matching shorts, from Patrick Grant at E. Tautz. Or take a gray sweatshirt that Christopher Kane turned into a rigorous, minimalist exercise through an almost architectural deployment of paneling, material, and severe form. Tailoring also got freshly reworked, as in Hardy Amies’ sheer suit—forward-thinking and almost subversive in its transparency—and a loose, white double-breasted number from Wales Bonner that evoked the laid-back dandyism of a seventies Malick Sidibé photograph.

Not all of the designers stuck to reenvisioning Western clothing, however. Craig Green, who gained a reputation for his recent martial arts–influenced collections and his inclusion as the youngest designer in this spring’s “China: Through the Looking Glass” exhibition at the Met’s Costume Institute, returned with more padded Tyvek outfits, this time in safety oranges, jewel-tone greens, and searing yellows. The highlight of his collection, though, had to be a loose denim suit with wide lapels, tied at the waist like a karate gi. As with the best looks in London, it was both relaxed and powerful.

Kxng Crooked Meditates On Eric Garner Protests With ‘I Can’t Breathe’ Video

NorCal High School Now Allowed To Wear “I Can’t Breathe” Shirts During Basketball Tournament

The NorCal High School that saw its players banned from an invitational basketball tournament for their “I Can’t Breathe” shirts is now letting freedom ring as First Amendment rights have been reinstated.

Via MSN:

A California school district on Monday reversed a basketball tournament ban on T-shirts reading “I Can’t Breathe” and said it would allow high school players to wear the shirts during warm-ups as long as they do not cause problems, lawyers said.

With backing from school officials, the athletic director at Fort Bragg High School, previously told the boys and girls teams from Mendocino High School they could not play in the three-day event if they wore the shirts inspired by the last words of a New York man who died after an officer put him in a chokehold.

Karen Boyd, a First Amendment lawyer who represents one of the players, said the reversal by the Fort Bragg School District came just moments before she intended to file a federal court motion arguing that barring the shirts violated the free speech rights of student athletes.

The agreement will stand as long as the shirts do not cause any serious problems at the tournament. It also allows spectators to wear the shirts, which several did as the tournament got underway Monday at Fort Bragg High School, Boyd said.

“This is always my preference, if we can get things worked out without a lot of court stuff,” she said.

School district lawyer Patrick Wilson said Fort Bragg officials wanted to avoid the cost of a legal battle but remained concerned the shirts could cause a disruption in the community that’s still mourning the death of a sheriff’s deputy killed in the line of duty in March.

“The concern is, you are in a packed auditorium, this is a polarizing issue and it’s about something that happened in New York,” Wilson said. “I think it’s fine for people to protest about it, but emotions are still raw in that area.”

The Mendocino boys team played its first game in the tournament on Monday morning after all but one of the players agreed to forego the shirts. It still has two more games scheduled. Too few members of the girls team accepted the condition and another high school was invited to take their place, Boyd said.

Liberty and justice for almost everyone.
