Though the life of a rap star is indeed something to behold at times, some rappers opt to live the life of rock stars which tend to be way more lit even by Hip-Hop star standards.

Gunna seems to be aiming to breakthrough into this genre’s way of life in his visuals to “Rockstar Bikers & Chains” as the rap star goes full-on metal in outer space complete with flame-throwing guitars and spiked wrist bands. This video remind anyone else of Jason X? Great “bad movie.”

Back on Earth, Rich The Kid invites YoungBoy Never Broke Again to his home for some pool, PS4, and studio time for their clip to “Racks On.” Now that’s a friend.

Gotta give it to Tory Lanez. Even during this quarantining period which has slowed up many artists grinds around the game, he’s not only managed to keep himself in the spotlight with his Quarantine Radio live shows, but he’s even dropped a few visuals along the way.

We hope she got tested for COVID-19 before they filmed this video, bro! Wonder if he found her on Quarantine Radio.

Machine Gun Kelly meanwhile continues to go the Hip-Pop or Rock-Pop route and for his visuals to “Bloody Valentine” finds himself at the mercy of an abusive Megan Fox. Not many men would complain about being in such a “dire” situation. Just sayin.’

During Hip-Hop’s golden era rappers on the Beast Coast knew you didn’t have a classic on your hands unless you had a beat from the legendary DJ Premier and though that isn’t necessarily the case these days Run The Jewels know what time it is.

Linking up with the Triple OG producer and day one Hip-Hop junkie, Greg Nice for their visuals to “Ooh LA LA”, Killer Mike and El-P throw a helluva block party where the party people empty out their pockets and burn mountains of cash like Heath Ledger when he was clowning around in his heyday. Though they’re two of the most popular rappers in the game, DaBaby and NBA YoungBoy have been the topic of discussion not because of their music but because of the drama in their personal lives.

But with his new album out, Blame It On Baby, DaBaby calls on YoungBoy to join him in the clip to “Jump” which finds the two quarantined in a nice crib that’s getting sterilized down by professionals while practicing social distancing during their verses… kinda… not really.

Speaking of social distancing, YFN Lucci officially becomes the first rapper to name a song after the virus that’s locked down the world and in his clip to “Covid 19,” Lucci kicks it in his crib with his homie while sippin’ some potion and puffing some L’s as most of us are these days in our homes. Tory Lanez “Dope Boy’s Diary,” Kehlani “Everybody Business” & More | Daily Visuals 4.16.20

While most music artists have been using this quarantine time to either entertain their fans via IG live or just take a break from it all, Tory Lanez has been keeping his page lit with Quarantine Radio and having models from all walks of life turn up with him like they’re in the club. It’s been pretty entertaining.

But getting back on his music grind, Lanez comes through with some new visuals to “Dope Boy’s Diary” which finds TL laying down the track in an open studio where loose leaf paper dances with the wind behind him. Rappers still write on paper? Thought they’d just jot everything down on their phones.

On the R&B tip, Kehlani hears everything says about her and in her clip to “Everbody Business” takes in some fresh air on her front yard while addressing all them gossip folk. Mind y’all business, b!

Now that Power is officially a wrap, 50 Cent has a little time on his hands and what better way to use it than to get back on his rap grind and link up with one of the music game’s most popular artists?

Looking to get back on the charts, the G-Unit general finds himself rolling with Post Malone in his visuals to “Tryna F*ck Me” where the two utilize a fast flow over an “Off The Books” sample that Big Pun made a classic in the late 90’s. R.I.P. Big Pun.

Down South Boosie Badazz touches on some of his more controversial statements while admitting he should’ve minded his business while kicking it in his crib for his clip to “Who Am I To Judge.” This still won’t be enough to get on the good side of sponsors who ditched him. Just sayin.’

Last week while New York was put on lockdown and told to practice social distancing, Brooklyn’s own Casanova was captured dismissing the life saving recommendations to shoot a music video and caught the wrath of social media for doing so.

Well today we get the release of the now controversial video which led to Casanova getting chewed out by quarantined fans. In his visuals to “In My Hood” not only does Cas and his crew ignore CDC guidelines of remaining at least 6 feet apart from the next man (they allll huddled up), but he’s even dapping and hugging his mans and ‘em in the projects while sharing drinks and blunts. Our only question at this point is how many of them been tested for the Coronavirus? Especially homie who opened a package and tasted the product for confirmation. Just sayin.’ Aside from all that the video was cool.

From Brooklyn to Toronto, Tory Lanez dodges reporters to turn up at the club, the studio and even the Laundromat before quarantining at home with some thick young women in his clip to “Do The Most.” At least he’s “quarantined”?

It goes without saying that 2020 has been the worst year in modern history thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic, but for the culture specifically the loss of both Kobe Bryant (R.I.P.) and Pop Smoke (R.I.P.) already had us down on the year before face masks became the new everyday necessity.

Luckily for his hardcore fans, Pop Smoke had already shot a video for his Quavo assisted “Shake The Room” which features the Brooklyn rapper and ATLien living their best lives in fancy restaurants, fancy automobiles, and toasting to life. Real talk, it was kinda hard to watch the Virgil Abloh directed video. Just sad all around.

In his latest video for “F*ck Corona U Ain’t Stopping Sh*t,” Purpp makes the most of his home confinement and gets lit with his homie (so much for social distancing) and shows off a tennis court, laced closet and home ball court. If only we could be confined to such luxurious places.

It’s been a minute since the release of Jadakiss and Pusha T’s collaboration “Huntin Season” and though the record was pulled out of respect for Pop Smoke (R.I.P.) we now get some graphic visuals to the street banger.

Featuring clapped up would-be rappers on the floor of his cabin, Jadakiss styles and profiles around his hunting lodge while Pusha T roams the woods looking for new game to hunt. Is them Canadian woods? Hmmmmm…

But Jay-To-The-Muah isn’t done yet, linking up with OG Hip-Hop MC’s Queen Latifah and Bun B for DJ Kay Slay’s clip to “Living Legend,” the OG trio put it down for the heads with the original Queen showing she still got enough bars to give Hershey’s some competition. Props.

While Lil Wayne’s relationship with big Baby a.k.a. Birdman might not be what it once was, it seems to be nothing but love between Lil Baby and himself as they link up one time for a lil’ bit.

For the collabo visuals to “Forever,” Lil Baby and Lil Wayne combine that new school half-mumble steez with some old school rhyme bustin’ technique courtesy of Weezy while a thick model showcases her black wings that only add to her flyness.

Swae Lee meanwhile continues to thrive without his partner in crime, Slim Jxmmi and in his latest clip to “Someone Said,” the young crooner finds himself in all kinds of infomercials and selling everything he can get his hands on.

It goes without saying that DJ Kay Slay is a vet when it comes to the wheels of steel, so it only made sense that he called on some OG MC’s that dropped cult classics on vinyl back in the day.

For his latest visuals to “Growing Up On These Streets,” the Drama King recruits Raekwon and AZ to spit bars while showing how life in the streets can go left real quick. Unfortunately, Tony Stark wasn’t anywhere to be found but Jadakiss did make a quick cameo towards the end of the video previewing his own track.

Rick Ross ft. Summer Walker “Summer Reign,” Yo Gotti “H.O.E. (Heaven On Earth)” & More | Daily Visuals 1.23.20

Since coming into the game Rick Ross has been considered one of the rap game’s hardest rappers and though he comes off as married to “the life,” it looks like Rozay may be looking to settle down for real.

For his Summer Walker assisted visuals to “Summer Reign,” the Bawse lets a thick young woman into his life on onto his property where he proceeds to woo her off her feet with the lavish lifestyle and promises of picking out his casket when it’s all said and done. We bet he won’t let her rock any exclusive sneakers from his collection though. No true sneakerhead would let their love go THAT far.

On the other side of the South, Yo Gotti seems inspired by 2020 being election year and in his clip to “H.O.E. (Heaven On Earth)” rocks a red “Make The Hood Great Again” hat while taking questions from the press. We need that hat.

Jay-Z might’ve had a hand in deading the whole auto-tune movement of yesteryear, but it looks like his ROC Nation artist, Casanova is experimenting with the technique that made T-Pain a household name.

In his Young Thug and Gunna assisted visuals to “So Drippy,” the Brooklyn rapper gets his harmony on via the audio processor while in a club where the women seem to outnumber the men 10 to 1. Promising odds for any man not named Tekashi 6ix9ine these days.

And the rapper with the top selling album in the game today, Roddy Rich, continues to ride his wave of success with a new clip to “Boom Boom Boom” which finds him turning up after surviving a car accident. Seems about right.

Most people go to the gym to achieve that physical degree that they see on TV, but if you ain’t got the time just throw on a costume. It’s the same, right?

Probably not, but that isn’t keeping Rick The Kid and Quavo from getting fake ripped in their comedic clip for “That’s Tuff” where the two hit the gym to get in shape only to see they don’t stack up to seasoned bodybuilders. So they do the next best thing and throw on some muscle suits and flex for the hardcore.

Back in Brooklyn, Young M.A finds herself going through the motions and ends up “self medicating” to help her deal with her issues in her somber two-in-one visuals to “Numb/Bipolar.”

Boosie Badazz ft. Mulatto “Nasty Nasty,” Tinashe “Stormy Weather” & More | Daily Visuals 12.27.19

A few years ago Boosie Badazz became one of the few rappers in the game to beat cancer so whenever we see him rubbing up on all the bare booties in his videos, we can’t help but smile for him.

In his Mulatto assisted visuals for “Nasty Nasty” that’s exactly what happens as Boosie is joined in a Jacuzzi by many thong wearing young women whose backsides get rubbed down to the point we kinda expected a genie to pop out of someone.

Tinashe on the other hand gets her artistry on and in her black-and-white clip to “Stormy Weather” enlists a team of dancers to perform a choreographed routine that we’re sure means something, but we can’t quite decipher.

Believe it or not there was once a time when black lights in Hip-Hop videos was considered the sh*t and though that practice has fallen to the sidelines in the past few years (ok, decades), it looks like the almighty fluorescent illumination may be making a comeback.

While the folks in Kansas City voted to remove Martin Luther King Jr’s name from one of their streets, others are proud to have the name of the iconic civil rights leader held high on their grounds, and Jeezy seems to feel the same way.

It’s been a minute since Jadakiss signed with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and while he hasn’t unveiled an album under the new umbrella, he just released a new single, “ME,” and released a short film in support of it.

Aside from popping up at Tekashi 6nitch9ine’s singing performance in federal court a few weeks back, Troy Ave’s been keeping a low profile for the most part but today the Brooklyn rapper comes out of the shadows for his latest video.

In his visuals for “So True,” the artist known to himself as Nupac spends some quality time with a tatted up Becky with the blond hair who probably doesn’t understand the reference whenever Troy refers to himself as Nupac. We just playing, y’all. She really does look like she was born after Pac was killed though so who knows if she’s familiar with the Hip-Hop icon like that.

It’s been a few weeks since Kevin Gates dropped his sophomore album I’M HIM and while it didn’t quite make the splash that his debut project did, it’s still resonating with his true-blue fans who are all about the N’awlins rapper.

Picking up where his last video left off, Dave East’s visual for the Jacquees assisted “Alone” finds him spreading the wealth from the jux he pulled and blessing everyone from his wifey to the old lady on the block with stacks of cash. Robbin’ Hood status, for real for real.

Seriously, that kind of lighting is the stuff playboys install in their crib for real.

Speaking of playboys, Swae Lee continues to enjoy the solo life in his clip to “Sextasy” in which he woos a young Latina with champagne on a boat ride… in a pool. Kinda surprised no one’s ever thought to do that in their video. Props, young man.
