A revealing and deeply personal documentary exploring the life and creative renaissance of music icon David Crosby. A cultural force for over fifty years, Crosby faced an uncertain future after the 2015 dissolution of Crosby, Stills and Nash. Racked with health issues and personal obstacles, Crosby forged a new path at the age of 76. Seeking out younger musicians and recording a pair of critically-praised new albums, Crosby now sets out to make a mark in a world now so different from the generation he came to define in the 60's. With unflinching honesty, self-examination, regret, fear, exuberance and an unshakable belief in family and the transformative nature of music, Crosby shares his often-challenging journey with humor and bite. Remember Me?

One evening, two girlfriends and I went to a nightclub, only to find the place packed with young people. At 40, we felt old, but before we could make
a dignified exit, a tall, handsome man approached us.

“Perhaps we were being a little hasty in leaving,” I thought.

Then with a big smile, the man extended his hand to one of my friends and said, “Hello. Remember me? You were my third grade teacher.”

For many relationship experts, doing a move to finally meet your lifetime partner is a very smart thing especially these days there are already a lot of mediums to use in finding a potential life partner. And with how busy everybody is these days, what people experience most of the time are meaningless social collisions instead of quality social interactions. This is mainly the reason why it’s important to be more mindful or even deliberate when it comes to dating.

Eight Things We Remember From Afropunk Fest 15

Deep in the borough of Brooklyn, New York, Afropunk was in full effect. The the festival a place where several stars like Grace Jones, Kelis, and Lenny Kravitz blessed the stage in their own extraordinary fashion. But, Afropunk was also another successful year where the culture flourished in multiple forms. There were also a couple situations throughout the two days that we kind of had to take in. This is why we want to give you the eight big factors that we remember from this year’s Afropunk Fest.

Kelis performed pregnant

Before she came out on stage, nobody expected Kelis to be pregnant and performing at Afropunk Festival. There was nothing but hype surrounding her mid-day set, but that hype had soon turned to shock and awe in a positive way. Kelis may have been pregnant, but she knew how to keep the crowd entertained all throughout her performance. Even hitting a couple of high notes to let fans know she wasn’t playing.

Instagram Photo

Lauryn Hill continued to perform after two attempts to stop her

Many concert-goers weren’t surprised about Lauryn Hill coming late to Afropunk Fest. She has proudly earned a track record of coming to the stage really late and still performing like nothing ever happened. The legendary singer was late, however, she still made an attempt to perform for fans after management tried to stop her twice. First, the sound and miss were cut off, then the house lights. Even through these two stoppages, Hill continued to keep the momentum going for the crowd.

Danny Brown brought out Ab – Soul to perform “Terrorist Threats”

While people were waiting for Lauryn Hill to take the main stage, others were at the Red Stage watching Danny Brown turn up to his musical catalogue. The Detroit rapper brought out Ab Soul to perform their believed collaborative single “Terrorist Threats”. The crowd was amped about the surprise appearance, and went all out to remember the song’s words.

Afropunk Fest flourishes in street style once again

One thing that Afropunk Fest has always been known for is the street style of the festival. This year, the fashion statement at the festival was kicked up to a top notch once again. Afropunk is the place where you’ll find some of the most remarkable outfits from concert goers.

Art had a big influence on the festival this year

Whether people were seeing paint on walls or people’s faces, Afropunk Fest had a huge art influence this year. Several graffiti artists had made the environment a huge canvas to be creative on. Beautiful masterpieces were made and looks like it’ll stay there for a while.

Grace Jones’ set was oddly beautiful.

If you have seen Grace Jones in anything before, then you know that her style of life is not for the weak of heart. That doesn’t stop her shows from being dope, or controversial. During her performance at Afropunk Festival, Jones performed topless and also brings a couple of dancers out with her. She also managed to switch in-and-out of odd outfits each song throughout her set. Grace Jones also performed over the synths from LL Cool J’s hit “Doin It”.

Most of Sunday’s lineup had standout performances at Afropunk

If you happen to come a little earlier to the festival, you came across some very good performances from artists on both stages. It all started with DC-native soul duo Oshun, who had mixed both their catalogue with a Go-Go music bounce near the end of their set. Jesse Boykins III then had a explosively smooth performance on the opposite stage. Following those performances was guitar player Thundercat, Raury, and Goldlink. All of the performances kept people on the move between both stages the entire day.

DSC_0822 DSC_0752 DSC_0625

The DJ’s closed Afropunk the right way

Lenny Kravits had a stellar performance on the main stage last night, but Soulection and Kaytranada were the two that had people dancing out of Afropunk. Soulection producer Lakim held the DJ stage down with several self-produced beats and music inspired by The Sound of Tomorrow, while Kaytranada was mixing up his catalogue with different tracks from the past to now. These two acts has wave of people moving to end the festival right.

Genre: Romantic Comedy

Publish Date: June 10, 2015

Publisher: T. Torrest

Seller: Draft2Digital, LLC

** Author's Note: Remember When is the first book in a trilogy series but there is NO CLIFFHANGER. This romantic comedy novel is intended for mature teen readers and immature adult readers due to some high school sex scenes, underage drinking, questionable language and 1980s flashbacks. **  Years before Trip Wiley could be seen on movie screens all over the world, he could be seen sitting in the desk behind me in my high school English class.  This was back in 1990, and I cite the year only to avoid dumbfounding you when references to big hair or stretch pants are mentioned. Although, come to think of it, I am from Northern New Jersey, which may serve as explanation enough. We were teenagers then, way back in a time before anyone, himself included, could even dream he’d turn into the Hollywood commodity that he is today.

After leading his team to fifteen winning seasons, football coach Bill Yoast (Will Patton) is demoted and replaced by Herman Boone (Washington), tough, opinionated and as different from the beloved Yoast as he could be. How these two men overcome their differences, and turn a group of hostile young men into champions, plays out in a remarkable and triumphant story full of soul and spirit. No matter what, you will never forget the Titans.

Gina Rodriguez Has An Affair To Remember On ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway?’

If you’re going to sweep Gina Rodriguez off her feet, you’re going to need a hand — or two.

The “Jane the Virgin” star was the celebrity guest on Monday’s episode of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?,” playing alongside the show’s improv veterans Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady, Colin Mochrie and Jeff Davis. But things got particularly out of hand when Stiles, Rodriguez and Mochrie’s hands were placed in a luxury hotel for a romantic rendezvous.

In the skit titled “Helping Hands,” Stiles popped some bubbly and fed threw the actress handfuls of grapes as she tried to keep up with the antics.

Earlier in the episode, the 31-year-old star challenged Brady and Davis to sing about her character Jane, reimagining her not as a virgin but as an organic corn farmer. The skit even inspired the actress to do a little bit of freestyle rapping.

Watch the “Helping Hands” segment above and check out the full episode on The CW.

Papoose “The Bank,” Lil Durk “Remember My Name,” Raury “The Devil’s Whisper” & More | Daily Visuals 6.25.15

Never one to front on rolling the dice–as is the basis of this cut–Papoose uses a quick-spit flow in order to get his point across over a menacing gang of trumpets on his latest offering, “The Bank” off his forthcoming summer release, You Can’t Stop Destiny. Really hoping to hear a remix to this featuring Remy Ma named “The Joint Account,” or something.

Also utilizing a faster than average flow is Def Jam/Coke Boy artist, Lil Durk (not to be confused with Turk from the Hot Boys). The Chicagoan takes stage in what seems to be an abondoned factory and lets off like a semi-auto on the title track to his debut album, Remember My Name.

Check out the rest of the day’s releases which includes work from Raury, The Doppelgangaz, and more.

10 Things To Remember When You’re Going Through A Breakup, Because Your Brain Is Super Foggy And Now Is Not The Time To Trust Your Own Thoughts | Bustle

I’m not sure there’s a word in the English language that accurately describes the sadness after a breakup. Grief, the feeling reserved most commonly for death, is part of it. So, too, is suffering. Agony, remorse, self-doubt. Breakups are traumatic. They are, of course, heart-breaking. They will make you reevaluate everything you think you know, and force you into new thoughts and experiences that are often incredibly distressing. But there is also a silver lining in every breakup.

Remember That Time When You Should Have Gone To Dad First?

Mom is great and all, but there were just some situations when you wanted to go to Dad first. It didn’t mean one parent was better than the other, it just meant that for that particular moment in time, Dad was more equipped to assist — as in he was more likely to present you with the outcome you wanted. When you were young, your decision to go to him over Mom was supported by much-thought-out reasoning and evaluations of every possible scenario. The important question is, did you accurately identify when was the right time to go to Dad?

In partnership with Energizer, we’re pitting Mom and Dad in a head-to-head battle of parenting prowess (or pushover probability, depending on the circumstances). On this trip down memory lane, can you accurately recall when you should have dialed Dad before all else, or met with Mom to begin with?

You backed into a co-worker’s car the first time Mom let you drive her brand-new wheels.

Remember The ‘Looking For A Girlfriend’ Flyer Guy? Comedian Jena Friedman Tracked Him Down

Dan Perino, the man who has been putting up “Looking For A Girlfriend” flyers around New York for the last eight months, hasn’t exactly found love, although after this interview, he might just be falling for comedian Jena Friedman.

Perino says he’s been on “a couple hundred” dates since he decided to use tear-off tab flyers to find women who might be interested in him. But he’s not just looking for anyone. His type? Petite women, 25 to 37, who are heavy chested. Shocker, I know.

In a new video from Friedman, who also interviewed Jimmy “The Rent Is Too Damn High” McMillan, she sits down with Perino at a bar to find out what this “hopeless romantic” thing is really about — she also gives him an HIV test on the spot.

If you like hilariously awkward interviews that end with both STD test results AND an invitation for a pedicure, you’re going to like this one. And best of luck to Mr. Perino in finding his dream girl.

Remember JoJo? She’s All Grown Up Now

Remember JoJo? Of course you do, but you probably remember her as the 13-year-old who sang “Leave (Get Out)” and “Baby It’s You,” back in 2004.

Well, 11 years later she’s all grown up as time tends to have that effect on people:

After being absent from the airwaves for nearly a decade, JoJo sued her record company Blackground Records and its subsidiary, Da Family, for claiming she was still their artist, despite the fact that she was a minor when she signed on in 2003 and could only legally be under contact for seven years. In January 2014, the singer was finally released from her contract, and signed with Atlantic Records.

These days she’s on Instagram:

9 Things You Can’t Remember Anymore Thanks To Technology

If you need more proof that our phones keep getting smarter but our brains keep getting dumber, just try to remember someone’s number other than your own.

And no, your mom doesn’t count.

It’s easy to forget things that our phones do for us everyday, which is just one of the myriad reasons why we have separation anxiety whenever we (God forbid) leave it home. You can’t get anywhere, you can’t reach anyone and now your friend thinks you hate her because you didn’t wish her a happy birthday. It’s a mess.

In the spirt of being self-aware — and hopefully to prevent these things from leaving our minds forever — here’s a look at just nine things you probably forgot how to do. Don’t worry, there’s still time to work on these skills before they implant the smart phone chips directly into our brains.

1. Phone Numbers

The most obvious one. You used to be able to cite all your closest friends’ and family’s phone number by heart. Now you have to look up your own significant other’s number in your phone when asked to write down an emergency contact. Hey, what’s the number for the pizza place we order from every Friday? Oh, that’s right, we order on Seamless.

trying to remember
She’s even more confused because she’s still using a flip phone.

2. Birthdays

Facebook has taken all the guesswork out of remembering when people are born. Does a generic “Happy birthday” message on someone’s wall really mean anything when a push notification made you do it? Or how about when Facebook tells you it’s like five people’s birthdays and you just wish them all a happy birthday at once. You even use copy/paste because you’re too lazy to write “Happy Birthday” over and over again. Where’s the genuine sentiment in that?

3. Long Division

Remember when your middle school math teacher said you need to learn this stuff because you’re not going to carry a calculator around with you at all times? Well, try remembering how to divide numbers on paper and you’ll be thankful that literally every cell phone comes with a calculator app. Figuring out the tip? There’s an app for that. Dividing bills between roommates? There’s an app for that. Until the day comes when someone threatens to kill you unless you tell them the area of an isosceles right triangle, you’re probably going to be okay.

frustrated math
“Don’t break out the iPhone in front of the class. Don’t break out the iPhone in front of the class…”

4. How To Write A Check

Thanks to Paypal, Apple Pay and apps like Venmo, paper checks are becoming part of the analog past. Do you have to write “and zero cents” on the amount line? What’s the memo space for again? And you’re telling me I have to physically go to the bank? Luckily it’s cool if you forget to sign the back of one when trying to cash it because now you can just take a picture of it on your phone and then rip it up.

5. How To Write In Cursive

You might be able to sign your name all right, but try writing a lowercase, cursive “K” or “Z” and you’ll think it looks all wrong. Kids today don’t even have to learn cursive in some schools, which is a bit sad. We all had to suffer through it so why shouldn’t they? But in all likelihood, texting classes will be the next big thing and we’ll soon evolve to have long, muscular thumbs as our primary communication digit.

6. Literally Just Writing In General

This one is a little embarrassing. Have you noticed what your handwriting looks like lately? If you’ve been spending most of your time using a computer or phone, it’s horrible. That beautiful penmanship of your teens has been replaced with barely legible chicken scratch and your hand hurts from writing after one or two pages. Good grief.

7. Giving Directions

If someone invites you to meet them at a bar or restaurant and the first question you have is, “How do I get there?” you probably won’t like your friend’s response. Okay, a simple “What train is it near?” is acceptable, but you know you’re just going to have to Google it to get the exact directions. The same goes for giving directions to strangers who stop you on the street. Chances are, if they’re asking, they either don’t have their phone on them, it’s dead, or they’re using Apple’s impossible maps application.

confused lost
“I told you we should have just paid AT&T for the international plan.”

8. How To Wait For Someone In Public

Instead of someone saying, “Meet me by the fountain at 3:00,” and you not hearing from them until you meet them there, you now receive up-to-the-minute updates from the person you’re going to meet and will know their exact location. You can barely remember what it’s like to have to stand around silently, looking at nothing in particular and letting your thoughts wander because you’re too busy listening to a podcast, playing Candy Crush and tracking your friend’s whereabouts. Did that cute stranger just say hi to you? Who cares, you just got a new Tinder match.

9. How To Spell Tricky Words Without Looking Them Up

Spellcheck, predictive text and its quirky sibling “speech to text” make it pretty much impossible to remember how to spell words like “Receipt,” “Pneumonia,” and, ironically, “Misspell” (that second “s” just always looks weird). “I before E” goes out the window when you have squiggly red lines to tell you what’s wrong. Combine this with #5 and the future isn’t looking too hot for the actually written word. Thanks, technology!

9 Places We Never Remember To Put Sunscreen

We all know we should wear sunscreen. Whether or not we do — or do so correctly — is a horse of a different color.

But skin cancer remains the most common form of cancer in the U.S., and more than 9,000 people died from aggressive skin cancers in 2010, the most recent year from which data is available, according to the CDC, and a history of sunburns significantly increases the risk.

With early detection, many new cases are highly treatable, but some skin cancers are also highly preventable, especially if we stop ignoring the problematic areas we so often skip in our sunscreen routines. Here are just a few of those pesky parts. Let us know in the comments what we missed.

Ears
According to a 2007 study from The Skin Cancer Foundation Journal, the ears are the third most frequent location for basal cell carcinomas, which make up about 80 percent of the 1.3 million new cases of non-melanoma (less-aggressive) skin cancer in the U.S. each year, according to the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.

Scalp

You might not even realize until you run a comb through your hair the next day that you completely missed your part. Ouch.

Eyelids
You forget ’em under those huge shades, but then you take your shades off to avoid funky tan lines. Protect that very-gentle skin! Because getting your sunscreen in your eyes is almost as much fun as getting a sunburn, Consumer Reports recommends using a moisturizer or eye cream that contains SPF, since those are absorbed more easily. Just be sure to reapply if the SPF count is low.

That Pesky Armpit Skin

First thing’s first, can we give this little jiggle of skin an official name? It’s easy to miss, scrunched there next to your strap, but you won’t be happy about it if you do.

Under Those Straps
Speaking of straps! Unless you’re wearing a UV-blocking swimsuit, you can get burned through the fabric. Plus, if you only apply around the straps, even the slightest movement can expose unprotected skin. That’s at least part of the reason why some experts recommend putting on your sun protection while you’re in the buff, so you can’t miss a single strap-covered spot.

Tops Of Feet

People. Your flip flops are the bikini straps of your feet. Cover up!

Backs Of Hands
Yes, we know, you wash your hands after you’re done applying sunscreen because, well, ick. But in the process, you’re also leaving your hands woefully unprotected. The palms of our hands (and soles of our feet, for that matter) are protected by a thick layer of dead skin cells that limits the amount of UV light that can get in. The backs of our hands are in no such luck, Popular Science reported.

Lips

The lower lip in particular needs some sunscreen love, as it’s 12 times more likely to develop cancer than the top lip, according to the SKin Cancer Foundation. And men, don’t shy away from lip balm: You’re up to 13 times more likely to develop lip cancer than women.

Back Of Knees
They’re in no-man’s-land — not quite lower leg, not quite upper leg — and we can’t see ’em. Whatever the reason we neglect our knee pits, forget this crucial crease and you’ll never want to walk or sit again.
