Sunken Place Soldier Candace Owens Forgets Her Hair Is 4C, Calls Black People “Chimpanzees” For Riots

FRANCE-POLITICS-PARTY-FAR-RIGHT

Source: SAMEER AL-DOUMY / Getty

Sunken place ambassador Candace Owens is giving us the opinion that no one asked for.

According to published reports, on Thursday (May 28) Candace Owens took to YouTube to live stream and discuss the current events going on across the country involving Black America’s reaction to there continued police brutality that has plagued the country for decades.

During the live, Owens calls out Black America for celebrating NBA superstar LeBron James, who she mistakenly calls a “football player”, and shunning notable contributors like Dr. Ben Carson and Condoleeza Rice for their educational status and economic point of view.

“To be Black, you need to celebrate LeBron James. You’ve got to say that you want to be a football star, right? LeBron James the greatest, right,” Owens said. “When you see someone like Dr. Ben Carson, Dr. Condoleezza Rice, you call that person a coon, because they betrayed you. Do you want to know why? Because they’re talking about economics. They graduated, and they’ve got tons of degrees. They’re not being Black enough. Don’t listen to them. Listen to LeBron James, when he throws on the Beto cap and tells you that we’re literally being hunted down, right? Because he’s not educated, right? Celebrate that.”

As if her ideology couldn’t get any worse, Owens then proceeds to call protestors “trained chimpanzee” for being upset about the social injustices.

“That’s how you have to be Black”? Listen to your psychological conditioning,” Owens continued. “If to be Black, you can’t speak in proper English, or you’re “acting white.” Right? To be Black, you instantly have to jump up like a fucking trained chimpanzee – excuse my language – like a trained chimpanzee every single time the media runs a story, and act angry, and riot, and talk about how pained you were to see this happen to Black people, but keep your mouth shut, right, when it happens Black-on-Black because if you talk about the Black-on-Black crime, you’re a race traitor, right?”

Owen’s reaction towards Black protestors, much like those of the bigots she represents, is a stark contrast to her reaction towards the white-armed Militia who stormed the capitol building in Michigan over stay at home order to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. Not only did Owen’s sympathize with the white protestors, but her Twitter account was suspended for encouraging the militia to get violent.

“Apparently @GovWhitmer believes she is a duly elected dictator of a socialist country. The people of Michigan need to stand up to her. Open your businesses. Go to work,” she tweeted. “The police think she’s crazy too. They are not going to arrest 10,000,000 people for going to work.”

In addition to calling protestors “Chimpanzees”, Owens falls deeper into the sunken abyss compare the systematic oppression that African Americans face in America to the Scottish separation from England in the 17th century.

“Scottish people were severely behind the English people, just in terms of everything. And David Hume inspired and uplifted and challenged the Scottish people by saying if we want to get ahead, we have to learn English,” Owens said. “In a matter of years, in a matter of decades, the Scottish people passed the English people in engineering, and in the sciences. And it’s because they challenged themselves to be better, and not to be worse. They didn’t pretend that somehow having a broken language, having broken-down families was a symbol of who we are. And that is so unique to Black America. I won’t subscribe to it. People say that’s how you have to be Black.”

Henry Arango: At 87, A Witness To Stonewall Riots and Six Decades of Gay History

Knock, knock. Nothing. Knock, knock. Silence. Knock, knock. Nada. Finally we hear footsteps on a staircase. The door to this Astoria, Queens NYC home opens ever-so-slowly. “Hola, Que tal,” purrs a voice before we even get to see a face.

Finally the visage comes into view. The sight takes us back. Henry Arango, three years shy of turning 90, floats toward us a la Norma Desmond.. He’s wearing a floor length silk-chiffonish robe in varying shades of flamingo-pink. An arm as long and as graceful as a swan’s neck makes an undulating gesture before pointing to his hair. Arango is wearing a two-foot high brunette wig encrusted with pearls every bit as striking as Audrey Hephburn’s coiffure as she makes her entrance to the ball in “My Fair Lady.” And emanating from all that hair (like the rays of a Cuban sun) dozens of outrageously long pink and lavender ostrich feathers. Shock and awe. “How do you like it?” he asks coquettishly. “I got them from the Tropicana Nightclub in Havana before I left Cuba.” We erupt in gales of laughter.

Henry Arango is a witness to 60-years of gay history. He performed as an impersonator in Havana as a young man. Arango watched the blazing fires and gay voices raised in outrage at the Stonewall riots. He marched in the first gay rights parade. He witnessed gays going from lurking in the shadows of dirty movie houses to speaking out and marching in Washington, D.C. for their rights. And as a proud female impersonator at the renown East Village drag venue, Club 82, Arango sashayed and danced exotically for luminaries from Elizabeth Taylor to Errol Flynn. He’s lived through the AIDS crisis, seen the progress made toward gay marriage, and beamed like a proud poppa as more and more gays (including celebrities) have had the courage to come out. But when he arrived from Cuba to New York in 1956 (at 18 or 28, according to which “papers” one chooses to believe) it was a different story.

2015-06-24-1435154647-1737314-photo7.JPG

“Gay life was very underground,” Arango remembered. “We were considered third world persons,” he said. “You could order drinks (at bars) but there was no dancing. Police raided bars frequently. In the sixties, he remembers there were one or two bars on the Upper West Side and a couple in the Village. “Mostly they were run by the Mafia,” he says. Gays flocked to 42nd Street movie theaters for furtive sexual encounters in back rows, he recalled. Sometimes, they would meet in public “tearooms’ (restrooms). By the time the Stonewall and Julius bars opened in the Village, raids were commonplace. Arango said cops believed transvestites or drag queens(who hung out at Stonewall) were engaging in prostitution. The Stonewall also catered to”hustlers”(male prostitutes), young gay men and homeless youth. But drag queens were a favorite target for harassment by police. “You could not walk around in a dress or wear makeup out in public, ” said Arango. “But if you were out (dressed like a woman) as long as you wore men’s undergarments under the dress, they couldn’t arrest you for prostitution.”

Amid such an oppressive climate, Arango flourished as “Adrian,” an exotic interpretive dancer and sultry femme fatale at Club 82. “We were impersonators,” he says grandly. “The term ‘drag queen’ was considered trash.” One of Adrian’s famed routines featured a “Dance of The Seven Veils” where Arango portrayed Salome, the Biblical temptress who asked for the head of St. John The Baptist. Arango borrowed a head from the prop man at the old Metropolitan Opera House. One night he says: “I was waiting for my cue to go onto the stage when someone grabbed my head and ran off. I thought it was one of the waiters but it was Errol Flynn.” Flynn, ever the swashbuckler, was a big fan of the revue (featuring lesbians dressed as men, men dressed as women, acrobats and strippers).

Arango had fled Cuba years earlier after dancing at seedy Havana clubs (El Niche) and upscale ones (Montmartre). He high-tailed out of Montmartre one night when he was performing as Madame Du Barry in a powdered wig. He says men with machine guns burst into the ritzy penthouse club and fired rounds into the audience — packed with officials of then President Fulgencio Batista’s government. Arango says two people were shot and killed. “I knew I had to get out of there,” he says with a laugh. By then he claims he had secured an audition at Club 82 in New York. Adios Havana. Hola Nueva York. Fast forward 13 years.

Baltimore Sneaker Store Gets Ransacked During Riots [Photos]

Senseless rioting looting means a plethora of people of ill repute will be looking for a come up. Unfortunately, the victim of this reality was local Baltimore sneaker store Sportsmart, which saw its inventory savagely depleted.

Founded in 1980 and on 311 N. Exeter St., looters gave no f*cks as they ransacked the store for kicks and sports apparel. Security footage—along with images shared via the store’s Instagram page—shows people hauling out boxes of shoes and clothing.

What does this have to do with the death of Freddie Gray? Nothing.

Be clear, there are citizens of Baltimore just as disgusted by the nonsense and who are already cleaning up the mess.

State Of Emergency Declared In Baltimore After Riots [Photos]

Baltimore is burning. A state of emergency has been declared by Maryland’s governor and the National Guard has been activated in the city after Monday’s funeral for Freddie Gray, who died last week while in police custody, led to protests which eventually spiraled into rioting and looting

Reports the New York Times:

Gov. Larry Hogan activated the National Guard on Monday and the city of Baltimore announced a curfew for all residents as a turbulent day that began with the funeral of 25-year-old Freddie Gray, the nation’s latest symbol of police brutality, ended with rioting by rock-throwing youths, widespread looting and at least 15 police officers injured.

The violence that shook the city broke out in the late afternoon in the Mondawmin neighborhood of northwest Baltimore, home to the New Shiloh Baptist Church, where more than 2,000 people — politicians, activists, White House officials and civil rights activists including the Rev. Jesse Jackson and Dick Gregory — had gathered for a morning of soaring Gospel music and passionate eulogies for Mr. Gray.

Reportedly at least 27 people have been arrested while CNN reports that six Baltimore officers have been seriously injured.

On Monday afternoon, Baltimore PD announced that gangs, including Crips and Bloods, had posed credible threats to officers.

It is being widely reported that the riots started in central west Baltimore shortly after school let out for the day. While there has been widespread unruliness, there have also been citizens trying to clean up and maintain order in their city.

Schools will be closed tomorrow in Baltimore. See photos of the carnage below and in the following pages.

Danny Garvin, Who Was A Stonewall Riots Demonstrator, Dead At 65

Danny Garvin, who participated in the 1969 Stonewall Riots, died Dec. 9 of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and liver cancer in New York. He was 65.

Niece Debi Carey confirmed the news to The Huffington Post in an email, noting that Garvin was surrounded “with all his family and close friends” at the time of his death.

“Danny was more like a brother to myself and my siblings,” Carey wrote. “He touched everyone in a special way and left a piece of him in everyone’s heart and soul.”

A lifelong New Yorker, Garvin was born on March 1, 1949. At age 20, he was one of a number of demonstrators involved in the six-day uprising at the Stonewall Inn on June 28, 1969.

Author and historian David Carter described Garvin and Tommy Lanigan-Schmidt as “the two most knowledgeable sources” on the historic riots. Both Garvin and Lanigan-Schmidt were interviewed for Carter’s 2010 book, Stonewall: The Riots That Sparked the Gay Revolution.

Carter, Garvin and Lanigan-Schmidt were also featured in the PBS American Experience documentary, “Stonewall Uprising,” by award-winning filmmakers Kate Davis and David Heilbroner. That documentary was based on Carter’s book.

“Danny’s gentle and sensitive nature brought a great deal of warmth and humanity to the history of this watershed event in the LGBT civil rights movement and also endeared him to his friends and family,” Carter said. “Of all the persons I met working on the book, he was the sweetest. I will always miss him and consider myself blessed and honored to have been his friend.”

Family and friends honored Garvin and his legacy at a memorial service on Dec. 12 and at his funeral the next morning on Dec. 13.

Garvin is survived by his sister, Annie Ahearn, two nieces, two nephews and three great-nephews.
