Elon Musk Confirms At #E32019 You Will Be Able To Play Games & Watch YouTube In Your Tesla

Elon Musk Confirms 'Fallout Shelter' & More Apps Coming To Tesla Cars

Source: Charley Gallay / Getty

Tesla Cars can already do a bevy of things regular vehicles cannot, speaking with Bethesda Games, Todd Howard at E3, Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk confirmed the Tesla owners will be able to play games, watch YouTube and use more apps in their electric cars on the ample built-in touchpad screen.

Musk revealed that drivers will be able to play Fallout Shelter, Bethesda’s free mobile game based on the popular Fallout franchise that was released in back in 2015. The game will be joining the list of already confirmed titles which includes the insanely challenging platformer Cuphead, Atari Classics such as Missile CommandAsteroidsLunar Lander, and Centipede which all arrived in the vehicle last August.

Not a gamer, no problem, Musk also confirmed that the popular video streaming app YouTube will also be coming to his Tesla vehicles as well. He flexed creative muscle, even more, when he revealed that drivers will be able to play a game called Buggy Racing 2 by using the car’s steering wheel, accelerator, and brake showing off the fantastic capability in a clip.

Other things Musk spoke on during the panel included his next big launch and even a weird”hits blunt” moment where he suggested that human existence could be someone’s video game and we are all the characters in the game.

Word?

No word on when the updates will arrive in the Tesla cars but when they do we will definitely update you on it. You can watch the entire panel featuring Musk below.

Liketoknow.it Brings Shoppable Content to YouTube

Liketoknow.it is cashing in on YouTube’s fashion push.
The influencer shopping app, owned by blogger monetization platform RewardStyle, is expanding into video with the launch of its own YouTube channel. In partnership with influencers like Aimee Song and Zoella, Liketoknow.it will share shoppable fashion and beauty videos that will live on its YouTube channel and in its app.
“In 2021, it’s estimated that 82 percent of Internet traffic will be video, so it’s not only important that we’re there, but important that we’re helping our clients grow into that,” said Amber Venz Box, cofounder and president of RewardStyle. “Part of what Liketoknow.it is helping our clients grow their audience and getting the right audience to their doorstep.”

Liketoknow.it’s YouTube channel will be a “curated entertainment shopping channel” featuring members of its influencer network, said Venz Box. Viewers will be able to shop the YouTube videos via links housed in the description box. The videos will also live on Liketoknow.it’s app — on each influencer’s profile page — and can be imported to the influencers’ blogs.
YouTube is a large contributor to Liketoknow.it’s influencer-driven global commerce, though the platform is still “a fraction” of the conversion in-app, according to Venz Box. Liketoknow.it’s in-app conversion can

Another One: YouTube Annouces New Music Streaming Service

FRANCE-INTERNET-TECHNOLOGY-LEWEB12

Source: AFP / Getty

Not a fan of Tidal, Spotify or Apple Music? YouTube might have the music streaming service for you.

YouTube usually the go-to destination for your music video needs announced this week that it will be joining the music streaming wars with YouTube Music. The company calls its latest venture a “new music streaming service made for music with the magic of YouTube” that promises to make searching for music more straightforward and more personalized than ever.

Along with the launch of YouTube Music will be a reimagined mobile app and a brand new desktop player specially designed for music. In addition to their already massive library of music videos, YouTube Music will offer it’s users official versions of millions of songs, thousands of playlists, artist radio and more.

YouTube Music looks to one-up the competition by having remixes, live performances, and covers of songs that can only be found on its service. Another feature the service will offer is a unique search method that allows users to find songs they don’t know the title or by using a term like “that hipster song with whistling” or even the songs lyrics.

The service will also adapt to users in the really cool way. The home screen will adjust based on peoples whereabouts, listening history and what they are doing. If you happen to walk in a gym, YouTube Music will generate a playlist to help get you motivated, or if you happen to be at an airport, the service will make a playlist to help you relax.

Pretty genius, BUT we can foresee some people being uncomfortable with using the feature due to some insecurities with apps tracking you.

Now the big question? How much will the service cost? There is currently an ad-supported version of YouTube Music users can enjoy for free. If you want to go ad-free, there is a YouTube Music Premium subscription available for just $ 9.99 a month. If you’re already a paid subscriber of Google Play Music, you will get a membership to YouTube Music as a part of your subscription.

As of Tuesday, the rollout of the Youtube Music experience has begun in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and South Korea. The service will be expanding broadly and in the coming weeks and will soon be available in Austria, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. If you want to find out when YouTube Music will be available to you in your country, you can head here for more information.

So are you guys excited about YouTube Music? It sounds very appealing and worth the money. Let us know in the comment section below.

13 Vloggers Who Perfected The Art Of Coming Out On YouTube

Coming out. We all know what that phrase means. We don’t wonder if someone is “coming out of the bathroom” or if a debutante is “coming out to society” at a ball. “Coming out” is indicative of revealing one’s gay or bisexual sexual orientation to family, friends, the world, and most importantly, to oneself. However, in the past ten years, a new trend with coming out has occurred. People are now coming out on YouTube and they’ve turned “coming out” into an art.

Coming out on YouTube has involved vloggers sharing a personal vlog of themselves coming out to their viewers. Others have recorded themselves coming out to their parents. With YouTube stars coming out on YouTube, it has provided others with the courage and inspiration to come out to their families and friends, on or off the internet. Furthermore, it provides parents with positive and negative examples of how other parents have reacted to their children coming out.

“Is [coming out on YouTube] creepy or manipulative? Maybe, but I think the impulse of these kids is to leverage better behavior from their parents. If the parents react badly, there are witnesses and social consequences for their reaction. In this situation, I think being strategic is smart and necessary, ” said Dan Savage, gay activist and journalist.

“A positive benefit of this, is that these parents who have reacted so well are modeling for other parents whose kids have not yet come out to them how you do it. If you want to react beautifully and look like a good guy online – this is how.”

Coming out on YouTube is an interesting trend and it shows just how courageous people can be. Furthermore, it allows the world to gather as a community and say, “We accept you.” With that being said, let’s look at some of our all-time favorite vloggers that came out on YouTube and some of the creative ways in which they did it.

HANNAH HART

Hannah Hart is a YouTube star that gained her fame through a series on her YouTube channel, “My Drunk Kitchen,” where she cooked while intoxicated. However, in addition to her main YouTube channel, MyHarto, she has another YouTube channel, YourHarto where she vlogs about her life. On YourHarto Hannah shares with viewers a seven-part“Coming Out” series. In this series Hannah Hart tells her coming out story, as well as discusses topics like coming out of the closet, marriage, being attracted to straight people, feeling nervous around girls she likes, and feeling sexy.

We love this series because it not only discusses “coming out” but different aspects of coming out such as what happens before and after coming out like a first crush, dating, and marriage. Hannah gives viewers an all-around perspective, making this a perfect coming out series for anyone.

MALLOW 610

Some YouTubers don’t just come out to their viewers, they film themselves coming out to their parents and Dan did just that on his YouTube channel Mallow 610.

Dan hid a camera in his kitchen. When his mother returns home, she can tell that something is going on because of Dan’s apparent nervousness. After two minutes, he finally tells his mother that he’s gay. His mother has the best reaction: she tells Dan that she is proud of him and gives him a hug.

We know why Dan was so nervous, but his mom’s reaction was so amazing! She says that she had some inkling about his sexuality and Googled how to speak to her son about being gay and watched (what she calls “boring”) coming out YouTube videos.

“I need you to be who you are,” says Dan’s mom. “I want you to be happy in life and I want you to not be afraid of who you are.” What a mom!

SHANE DAWSON

Since 2008, Shane Dawson has been creating amazing YouTube videos on his channel Shane Dawson TV. For the most part, Shane has created and shared music video spoofs, comedy sketches, and hilarious vlogs on different aspects of pop culture. However, recently Shane came out of the closet on YouTube and shared with the world that he is bisexual.

He says, “I’m not completely gay. I can’t sit here and say that I am…But I also can’t sit here and say that I’m straight. And this is something that I have come to the conclusion through therapy and also just being honest with myself.

“I am bisexual. I have said it out loud once before…I have never really talked about it until now.”

“There’s a lot of coming out videos of people coming out who are gay or lesbian. And they’re so confident…I’m not that. I don’t know who I am 100 percent.”

Shane’s video is unique in that he is one of the few vloggers to come out as bisexual. He is also bringing attention to how bisexual persons feel—torn between not being gay and not being straight but something in-between. Even more amazing, is that he says he doesn’t know who he is 100%, proving that realizing who you are and accepting your sexuality is a process. For those looking for a strong and raw video of absolute truth, check out Dawson’s coming out video.

INGRID NILSEN

Ingrid Nilsen, known as Missglamorazzi, is a YouTube personality who discusses makeup, fashion, and lifestyle. She was even the first YouTube personality to represent CoverGirl. And recently, Ingrid came out to her fans on YouTube as gay.

As soon as she announces she’s gay, a huge smile crosses her face, she starts crying, and says, “It feels so good to say.” We can see the heavy burden on her shoulders disappearing.

Her reasoning behind coming out on YouTube is simple: “I deserve a full life…It is time to give myself my best chance.”

The video is moving and you just can’t help but tear up a little when she starts crying! Furthermore, there are important reasons that we love that Ingrid shared with the world that she’s gay. First, not many girls have come out on YouTube and we love that it could be someone with such a huge following like Ingrid, someone who can be influential to many women and girls. Secondly, many have commented that by Ingrid coming out, it has helped to break down lesbian stereotypes and shown the world that there are women and girls who are “femme” and lesbian. Whatever the case is, this coming out vlog is amazing and it will be inspiring to so many girls.

RUSS MARINE

For years, military servicemen and women couldn’t be open about their sexuality under “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” Even after its repeal, it has been difficult for those in the military to be open due to discrimination found in the ranks. However, we hope that things are changing especially with the help of one marine, Russ, who came out on his YouTube channel, Russ Marine, to his mom over the phone.

In addition to that initial coming out video, Russ shares a few other videos related to coming out. There’s one where he interviews his mom about him coming out and another where he discusses the negative reaction that he received from his dad when he came out to him. He also gives coming out tips and talks about coming out in the military.

We love Russ Marine and his coming out videos because not only will it help youth on coming out to their parents and gives them tips on how to deal with both negative and positive reactions, but he also could help other military members to come out and change the military culture to be more accepting of the LGBT community.

JOEY GRACEFFA

Joey Graceffa is a YouTube personality that has been vlogging for seven years. He has been creating vlogs about his life and commentary on the world and pop culture, as well as creating short films. However, it wasn’t until this year that Joey came out to his audiences and he did so in a very creative way: a music video.

The music video features Joey in a fairy tale world, battling his own demons and rescuing his prince which he kisses at the end. A few days after posting the music video, he posted a vlog where he does confirm that he is gay.

When asked why he waited to come out, Joey said, “I wanted to make sure that I was in a mindset that I felt confident in who I was. And I wasn’t going to come out and not able to be this role model for some people out there going through the same thing that I was going through.”

For those looking for a creative way to figure out how to come out, Joey’s music video is perfect: “I decided it was important for me to do it in a different way. To do it in my Joey-creative way of doing a music video.” Better yet, Joey’s music video illustrates that a fairy tale love story is possible for anyone.

CONNOR FRANTA

Connor Franta became known on YouTube through Our2ndLife but branched out and started his own YouTube channel. His vlogs include videos about his personal life and what he’s involved in, challenges, and Q&As. In 2014, Connor came out as gay on his YouTube channel.

Even though Connor says that coming out in a vlog was the hardest thing he has ever done, it’s so difficult to tell. His confidence radiates through his speech and he doesn’t seem to stumble the entire time, because he has finally come to know himself and is happy.

Our favorite aspect of this coming out vlog is when he says: “I’m not going to let my sexuality define or confine me. It’s part of me, it’s not all of me.”

THE RHODES BROS and THE MONASTERO TWINS

Two of the best coming out videos come from two different sets of twins. First there’s the Monastero Twins, Adam and Luke. The Monastero Twins set up a hidden camera in their kitchen and then told their parents that they were gay. Their parents thought that Luke was gay but didn’t have any idea that their son Adam was gay. The video ends with their parents being absolutely accepting and telling their sons that this is their life to live and they shouldn’t worry about what anyone thinks.

Then there’s the Rhodes Bros. Their coming out video involved telling their dad that they were gay over a phone call. The video went viral. It is a truly emotional video that displayed the courage of these two boys and the love that their father has for his sons.

We love these videos because it shows positive examples of how parents of LGBT youth should react when their children come out.

RYAN WAECHTER

If you want to see a super cool and creative coming out video, check out Ryan Waechter’s! With the “Draw My Life” challenge, Ryan decided to share his coming out story with a white board, dry-erase markers, and his artistic and storytelling skills. Even though he isn’t a Picasso, seeing his coming out story on a white board with quick and crude drawings while he narrates the story is really effective. His coming out story is funny, sad, happy, and ultimately inspiring. We are able to live his coming out story through his drawings and storytelling rather than being told his coming out story which makes for a more entertaining experience. If you are looking for something beyond the “Coming Out YouTube vlog” check this one out by Ryan Waecther now!

LUCAS CRUIKSHANK

Back in 2008, Lucas created a character called “Fred,” a 6-year-old with anger management issues. The character of Fred took off and Lucas has been creating fun, silly videos ever since. However back in 2013, Lucas was doing a Q&A with his best friend Jenny, when Jenny read a question that had been asked by many of Lucas’ fans (the question pops on screen multiple times by different fans): “Are you gay?”

And Lucas responds enthusiastically, “I’m gay!”

“My family and friends have known for, like, three years, I just haven’t felt the need to announce it on the internet.”

Even though coming out on the internet may seem like a serious thing, as many of the other coming out YouTube videos have shown, Lucas and Jenny are laughing and joking after he comes out. To Lucas (and to Jenny), it’s not a big deal that he is gay. (Because of course it isn’t!) From there, they continue the Q&A session with jokes and laughs which is why we love this video!

Lucas shows that coming out on YouTube isn’t his defining moment. It’s just another aspect of his life. He is a vlogger who just happens to be gay, just like all of the other vloggers we’ve featured in this article.

If we can learn anything from the coming out trend on YouTube, it’s that, yes, coming out is a difficult thing. However, it isn’t a limit in one’s life. These vloggers are extremely successful, but not because of their sexual identity, but by their tenacity to live happy, fulfilling lives as themselves.

Coming out may be the trend on YouTube right now but The Next Family and other LGBT YouTube Personality Parents hope that these YouTube stars and their gay, lesbian, and bisexual audiences can learn something more important from YouTube. Ebony, YouTube star and mom of OliviaHas2Moms, recently had an interview with The Next Family’s editor, Brandy Black at Vidcon. In the interview, Ebony made a good point about the coming out trend: it won’t be the trend for long. A new YouTube trend is on the rise.

“There’s a trend right now only about coming out. Granted, truly valid. Definitely, we need videos and education about coming out. However, when you come out, life begins even more. And you need to know about what happens after the fact. Families are possible, parenting is possible. Jobs, careers, education. All of that needs to be encompassed in a representation of LGBT.”

Alex Temblador is a staff writer for The Next Family, a site for modern parents.

Sports News in Brief: Every Comment On ‘Immaculate Reception’ YouTube Video Clearly From Franco Harris

PITTSBURGH—Noting that the dozens of rambling, overly excited posts date all the way back to when the clip was first uploaded in early 2011, sources confirmed Thursday that every comment below a YouTube video of the famed 1972 “Immaculate Reception” football play was clearly written by Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Fame running back Franco Harris. “Hands down THE best play in NFL history,” read a post left at 3:45 a.m. by YouTube user FHarris32, whose avatar appears to be a recent photo of Harris wearing his four Super Bowl rings on both hands. “This is what started the Steel Curtain dynasty and helped create one of the greatest teams of all-time. I still can’t believe I caught the ball like that after it was knocked down. Go Steelers!!!!” At press time, a long, largely incoherent rant disputing the “bullshit catch” had been posted by a YouTube …

These ads are fascinating to me and for a while I thought I was going insane because I thought I was the only one who was seeing them. But they’re of this guy Tai Lopez who calls himself an entrepreneur but what he is selling is pretty hard to figure out, which is usually one of the tell tale signs of a scam artist. I know that if you haven’t heard of this guy these parody videos won’t interest you, but this was stuck in my brain and I had to do this.

Ingrid Nilsen, Youtube Star, Comes Out As Gay

YouTube sensation Ingrid Nilsen made a huge reveal to her fans on Tuesday.

“I’m gay. It feels so good to say that!” she said in an emotion-filled video, posted to YouTube. “I’m shaking right now because this moment is real and it’s here. And I’ve been waiting for this.”

Speaking to the 3.3 million viewers who subscribe to her popular fashion and beauty channel, she said:

“I care about you guys, you’ve been a part of my life for the past almost 6 years, and this is a really big part of my life and I want to sit down and talk to you and have this conversation just like I’ve had this conversation with friends.”

Nilsen talked about learning to understand her sexuality and how she came to accept that she couldn’t deny her true feelings.

“I eventually realized and came to terms with the fact that I will never be able to fully give myself to a man. In a real relationship, it’s a two way deal. It’s not one-sided,” she said. “Both people are worth of a full life and love.”

‘Kung Fury’ Released On YouTube In All Its ’80s-Inspired Glory

“Kung Fury” is finally here, and it’s as ridiculously awesome as you’d expect.

The crowdfunded short film about a time-traveling cop on a quest to kill Adolf Hitler was released on YouTube on Thursday to the delight of the legions who turned the movie’s 2013 trailer into a viral sensation.

The result is exactly what that trailer promised: an homage to ’80s cop flicks and martial arts films, right down to a dialogue packed with groan-worthy one-liners.

Swedish filmmaker David Sandberg, who also wrote the film, stars as the title character. He becomes a kung fu legend after being struck by lightning and bitten by a cobra. On his journey to fight the Kung Führer, he encounters a cop with a triceratops head (aptly named Triceracop), Viking warrior women named Barbarianna and Katana, a laser-raptor, Thor and more.

And watch for the best fight scene you’ll ever see between a T-Rex and a Nazi robot-eagle.

The film even features a theme song and music video by 80s icon David Hasselhoff, which you can check out below.

The viral trailer for “Kung Fury” helped Sandberg raise over $ 600,000 from more than 17,000 backers on Kickstarter. The final production contains hundreds of wild visual effects created by VFX house Fido using Autodesk Maya 3D animation software.

Despite its humble origins, the film made its debut earlier this month at the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes, and production is expected to get under way soon on a feature-length “Kung Fury” film.

It’s going to be a clean slate, loosely based on the same story,” Sandberg told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this month. “But it’s going to have a lot of new elements, and you’ll get to know the characters more and go more in depth and go even more crazy.”

Jay Z Brings Out Beanie Sigel, Spits Ether At Spotify & YouTube In Freestyle [VIDEO]

The only thing being like more than a rap beef is a good reconciliation story. Jay Z served the people’s wishes by bring out Beanie Sigel at his TIDAL B-Sides concert last  night (May 16) in New York City.

The concert went down at Terminal 5 (there is another tonight (May 17)) but was also livestreamed, via TIDAL of course.

Some of Hov’s special guests included Jay Electronica and Memphis Bleek but the most talked about was easily State Property, including Beans, Freeway, Young Chris and Neef.

After some humble bragging, Jay also kicked a freestyle with some sharp words aimed at his Spotify and YouTube competitors.

“I don’t need no middle man to talking to my ni**as, I understand if you don’t understand, I figure I’m Jigga
That’s where we differ/I take what’s mine, you accept what they give you and I get you/I don’t take no checks, I take my respect/Pharrell even told me go with the safest bet/Jimmy Iovine offered a safety net/Google dangled around a crazy check/I feel like YouTube is the biggest culprit/Them ni**as pay you a tenth of what you supposed to get/You know ni**as die for equal pay right?/You know when I work I ain’t your slave right?/
You know I ain’t shucking and jiving and high-fiving, you know this ain’t back in the days right?”

Then Jay threw in some commentary on police brutality (that should be its own song, sir), and his haters.

“Well I can’t tell, how the way they killed Freddie Gray right/Shot down Mike Brown how they did Tray right?/Let them continue choking n****s, we gon’ turn style, I ain’t your token ni**a/You know I came in this game independent, right?/TIDAL, my own lane, same difference/Oh ni**as is skeptical about they own sh*t/You bought nine iPhones and Steve Jobs is rich/Phil Knight worth trillions you still bought those kicks/Spotify worth nine billion and they ain’t say sh*t!”

Meet Ingrid Nilsen: Becoming a YouTube Sensation and Supporting Women Across the Globe

Ingrid Nilsen’s popularity reaches into the millions. She’s a top YouTuber — one of an elite cadre of young video stars whose focus on makeup, fashion, and lifestyle attract a vast audience of girls and young women.

In an interview with HuffPost, Ingrid displayed her belief that beauty is much more than skin deep.

Michael: You’re essentially a very private person who has found herself thrust into about as public an arena as there could be.

Ingrid: That’s exactly right. It is interesting to be in this space, because I know other YouTubers as well who are definitely even more private than I am. We’ve found ourselves in this space where our jobs are very much in the public eye, so it’s a bit of a challenge to find that balance, but I think everybody eventually figures out what works for them.

Michael: So you get to dictate where the line is.

Ingrid: It is nice to have that option where I can kind of carve my own path. And it’s not like I’m walking outside of my house and people are waiting outside for me, because that would be absolutely terrifying. I wouldn’t be comfortable with that level of attention. I love the relationship I have with my viewers because they’re always kind and respectful.

Michael: You’ve gone from doing videos that are strictly fashion and makeup to more introspective pieces. Tell me about that transition.

Ingrid: Another YouTuber creator said it best: “Your viewers are both your peers and your boss.” So it’s an interesting relationship to have, and you want people to like what you create. But you also need to do what’s meaningful for you, and I just really had to sit down and think, what is meaningful to me right now? What is going to bring me fulfillment? And I just kind of crossed my fingers and hoped that people would like it, but if it wasn’t getting billions of views, but there were a handful of people that really connected with it, that’s all I really wanted. And that’s all I’ve ever wanted.

Michael: What prompted the shift?

Ingrid: Last year was my biggest transitional phase, because I was 25, and like most people smack-dab in the middle of their 20s, I was figuring out who I am, and re-examining what I’m doing. It really took a lot of thought. I wanted to create things that were meaningful and a true reflection of where I am in my life. I wanted that to come across in video, but I wasn’t sure how to do that.

And it just took time to get inspiration and to figure it all out mentally, and to figure myself out also. And there definitely is that pressure of “I have to keep up with the pack! Everything is moving so quickly, and I need to keep up so I don’t fall behind!” But I think that it was more important to me to follow the transitional phase, as confusing as it was for me, and create something really awesome out of it, and turning it into something that I could look back on and be proud of.

Michael: Sounds like the beginning of a trend.

Ingrid: We will see a lot more of that as creators on Youtube continue to grow up, because there are still people in their teens and going from that transition to being in your 20s, and people in their 20s growing up. You’re 20s just in general are weird, because you’re no longer a kid, but you kind of feel like…am I really an adult? Is this really what adult life is like? So it’s an interesting time and I’m definitely still figuring it all out, one step at a time. But it’s been a cool journey for sure.

Michael: A soul-searching kind of journey.

Ingrid: Soul-searching is the perfect way to describe it all. My friends around my age are going through the same thing and no one really knows how to vocalize it. It’s like this internal struggle that everybody is going through.

Michael: What were the biggest takeaways from the introspective time?

Ingrid: The #1 thing is stop worrying about what everybody else is going to think. In addition, I’ve realized that my lifestyle has changed over time naturally, as it does especially as you get older. And I’ve really started to embrace a “less is more” philosophy. Living with less in turn allows me more space to do the things that are really meaningful to me. And when I’m not worried about all the material stuff, I can focus on the things that either bring me joy or serve a purpose or a combination of both. It’s been something so helpful for me, and it’s really helped clear my mind.

Michael: How has this been reflected in your videos?

Ingrid: I’ve been changing around the format of my videos so there’s more of a storytelling element, where I’m sharing personal experiences and personal stories, and integrating that into my videos, with really great shooting and almost like a film quality to them. That was something I wasn’t sure how people were going to react to. When I started producing stuff that wasn’t just a 100 percent beauty video, and talking about things in a different way, it has been absolutely incredible to see the response. I have just never been so moved by my viewers ever…ever in all the five years I’ve been doing this, and it just made me want to give all of them a hug, because I felt like we were all on the same page. It’s just the most amazing feeling.

Michael: You felt a need to go deeper and it actually corresponded with your audience’s unspoken desire, to go deeper in their own lives.

Ingrid: That is totally true, because from the beginning I’ve always said that I believe that beauty is more than skin deep, and my channel has just been a way for me to really experiment with that and translate that message into video form.

Michael: Where do you see yourself going from here?

Ingrid: My overall goal with all of this is to create a community where I can support women with incredible talents. Whether it’s undiscovered writers, or lesser known artists, and creating a community where that is possible and those women can be supported and their work can be shared. That’s what I’m about. And I would love to have a brand with physical objects that reflect all of that. So it’s all kind of a little bit vague right now, but essentially I want to create a really amazing community of women that have something awesome to share with the world, and I want
to help them share that.

Michael: Beauty and makeup brought you to a position of prominence and created awareness about you, and as a result of having that platform, you’re now in the position where you can speak to broader, deeper issues that affect women you age.

Ingrid: Yes, definitely. And there are still plenty of times where I can make a video and talk about beauty products and just be a girl, and sit down and talk like I’m talking to my girlfriends. So it’s just a really great balance to have, because I can dive deep and I can also talk about a pair of shoes that I’ve really loved wearing for the past month. And I feel like that is the dream combination.

The giant video-sharing site had searched for a new approach after a mixed reaction to its inaugural event in 2013, which featured a livestreamed show from New York that appeared aimed at creating a new-media rival to the MTV Video Music Awards. For the second try, YouTube dispensed with the physical world entirely and announced the winners ahead of time and instead used Monday's "awards" day to premiere new videos. They included "El Perdon," a collaboration between Spanish superstar Enrique Iglesias and reggaeton artist Nicky Jam, as well as a song featuring English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and the electronica-influenced band Rudimental.

Geico Creates ‘Unskippable’ Preroll YouTube Ads That You’ll Want To Watch Till The End

After sitting through the first five unavoidable seconds of a YouTube preroll ad, most people don’t bother watching the spot till the end. But Geico is now hoping to change that with two new preroll commercials that promise to be “unskippable.”

Both Geico ads, created by The Martin Agency, cleverly place emphasis on the first five seconds, acknowledging that they only have those few moments to capture the audience’s attention.

“You can’t skip this Geico ad,” the commercial says, “because it’s already over.”

If viewers choose to continue watching, however, they’re rewarded with an unexpected and funny ending.

One of the ads features a family sitting around a dining table while another shows two friends enjoying a barbecue. Watch how the first commercial unfolds in the video above. The other ad can be viewed here:
